From our experience, OEM windshield to hood latch is superior to aftermarket. Many aftermarket versions fit too loosely. Some require a C clip to compensate. Contrary to popular belief, OEM latches do not rust easily. The ones shown in the photo have been installed for more than 5 years on a vehicle that s parked outside.
